War
In your opinion, how has war evolved from the
past to present? Please use examples to justify your opinions.
In my opinion, I feel that war has indeed
evolved from the past to the present. Technology has evolved from the past to
the present. Some examples are the weaponry has become more advanced such that
they acquire faster speed, heavier damage results and better control of the
weaponry. Furthermore, the advancement of technology has also introduced the
use of nuclear and chemical weapons such as the two atomic bombs that were
dropped in Hiroshima and Nagasaki and Agent Orange. War has also evolved in the
way that there were fewer wars active in the world now, compared to the huge amount
of war activity that happened in the past, in which some examples are the
Vietnam War, World War 1, World War 2 and the Korean War.
Hi I am sebastian. I feel that you have not explained much about how war has evolved from the past to the present. Your argument is rather one sided. You only speak of the benefits that war brought which is advancement of technology but have you considered the side effects? You might want to consider whether war is really necessary for technology to advance? Are there any other means? From this question, you can also tackle how has war changed from the past to now. The way of fighting a war is definitely different in the past then now.
ReplyDeleteHi i am Colin. I agree with Sebastian that you are rather one sided. Also, i feel that you should look at this matter from the bigger picture. Other than the war in the previous century, what about those in the B.C? I mean they also have big differences even though some things about war don't really change right? Maybe you should look deeper instead of looking at the surface. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi I am Darryl. I feel that what the previous two people has commented is very right. I would like to raise that you should actually look at the wider picture and consider different perspectives such as what are the means that technology is advanced in? Also, you should elaborate on your examples as I do not think that you have support your points much.
